PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a photosensitive material which is excellent in sharpness and is almost free from staining due to a remaining color by incorporating a dye having a specific backbone into the same. SOLUTION: This heat-developable silver halide photographic photosensitive material contains at least one dye selected from among dyes having a backbone represented by formula I or II (wherein X1 to X4 are each NH, O or S; and Q1 to Q4 are each a group of atoms necessary for forming a 7-membered ring), dyes represented by formula III or IV (wherein X5 to X8 are each X1; R31 to R38 and R41 to R48 are each a monovalent group; m3, m4, n3, and n4 are each 0-3; and o3, o4, p3, and p4 are each 0-2), dyes represented by formula V or VI (wherein R51 to R58 and R61 to R68 are each R31; m5, m6, n5, and n6 are each m3; and o5, o6, q5, and q6 are each o3), and dyes represented by formula VII or VIII (wherein R71 to R74 and R81 to R84 are each H, a metal atom or R31), preferably further contains an organic silver salt, and enables an ultrarapid treatment and an ultralow-supplement treatment.
