PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase conversion speed and to reduce the area and the power consumption of a conversion circuit by allowing a logic circuit which realizes a thermometric-binary code conversion equation to directly convert a thermometric code into a binary code, in this case without generating an intermediate code and adopting a multi-input-ternary output logic circuit for an AND component of the logic circuit in this case. ;SOLUTION: This thermometric-binary code conversion circuit 1 consists of an encode section 4, that is a core circuit of the circuit 1 and has a connection and configuration according to a thermometric-binary code conversion equation, of an input section 2 for a thermometric input signal and of an output section 3 of a binary output signal. The output section 3 converts logic and potential of N-sets of encode output signals bc1-bcN from the encode section 4 into those that are expected as outputs and provides an output of the converted signals as N-sets of binary output signals.
