PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide cold retaining and moisture retaining gels which are capable of properly adjusting the time for sustaining cold retaining and moisture retaining effects and are excellent in functionability for distribution, transfer, etc., of effective components, such as pharmacologically active components, perfumes, etc., and a laminate thereof.;SOLUTION: Gels are formed by dispersing and holding at least fiber groups (f) having hydrophilicity on the surface into a water retaining base material a1 consisting of a water-soluble high polymer into which water is incorporated at ≥40 wt.%. The gels are so constituted as to expose part of the fiber groups (f) on the surface of the water retaining base material a1, by which the water retaining quantity is increased and the moisture vaporization rate is increased. The additional increasing of coolability is possible as well by depositing a compound which endothermically dissolves in water on the gel composition or the fiber group. These gels are used as a single layer body as they are or may be composed as the laminate via suitable net-like sheets or may be provided as a patch by holding these gels on an air permeable supporting body.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
