PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve check precision remarkably at the time of performing self-diagnosis of a current adjusting stage by making a current decided by an on-off ratio flow to a load, comparing quantity derived from the on-off ratio with a prescribed target value and detecting an error when deviation exists according to the comparison result. ;SOLUTION: A microcontroller 110 supplies a target value I1 to a current adjusting device 140 on a 1st current adjusting stage 100 and the device 140 measuring a real value of current flowing through a load L based on the voltage drop of measurement resistance R of a load circuit 120. The device 140 decides a control signal that is supplied to a switching means S based on the comparison of the actual value with the value I1. That is, corresponding current is caused to flow to the load L in dependence upon an on-off ratio n1 that is supplied to the means S, the ratio of the value I1 to the output on-off ratio n1 is compared with a prescribed comparison value in order to monitor the stage 100 and when deviation more than allowable range as the comparison result exists, an error is detected.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
