PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable simultaneously executing a nitrifying action and a denitrifying action in the same aerobic biological reactor without using an anaerobic treating tank. ;SOLUTION: This waste water treating method is composed of plural stages such as liquefying decomposition treating stage, aerobic treating stage and precipitation treating stage. In such a case, the an aerobically decomposed water subjected to anaerobic treatment at a liquefying decomposition tank 1 is directly introduced into a bottom part of the most front tank of an aerobic filter bed tank 6 divided toward cross direction into several tanks. The anaerobically decomposed water is circulated in order into a carrier layer 8 in which a microorganism immobilized carrier 5 having floatability is charged and filled moderately in the divided each tank, and also air diffusion is executed from the bottom part of each tank to nitrify the anaerobically decomposed water. A part of nitrified liq. is returned from the most post tank of the aerobic filter bed tank 6 to the bottom part of the most front tank of the aerobic filter bed tank 6 and brought into contact with the anaerobically decomposed water at the bottom part under an oxygen-free state to execute the nitrification and denitrification of the waste water containing org. sludge by repeatedly circulating.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
