PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly perform focusing by providing cam members roughly positioning a photographing lens, actuating either cam member by the normal rotating action of a motor and actuating the other cam member by a reverse rotating action. ;SOLUTION: When the motor 7 is rotated counterclockwise by a controller MP, the rotation of the motor 7 is transmitted to the 2nd cam member 3 through an intermediate gear 8, etc., and the member 3 is advanced to travel rightward. Then, a photographing lens 1 is advanced in an optical axis direction integrally with the 1st cam member 2 so as to be gently inclined against a 2nd energizing means 6, and when an engaging projecting piece 3b is engaged with a cam follower 2b, the lens 1 is advanced in the optical axis direction relatively so as to be steeply inclined. Next, when the motor 7 is reversely rotated, the member 3 starts to retreat and travel leftward but any pawl of the ratched gear 2c of the member 2 is locked by a 1st locking means 9, and only the member 3 retreats to travel.
