PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a water-permeable material resistant to the lowering of water-conducting function even after the use over a long period and exhibiting good draining property by providing a specific core material and a filter medi um. ;SOLUTION: The objective water-permeable material 10 is placed under the ground of a plant-growing field. The material is provided with a core material 11 and a filter medium 12 covering at least the upper surface of the core material 11 in laid state. The core material 11 has water-permeability and pressure resistance, the filter medium 12 has a mesh structure and the size of the mesh opening is sufficient for passing the flown down fine particles of soil material. The mesh has uniform mesh size distribution. The filter medium 12 preferably has a coefficient of permeability of ≥1×10° cm/sec in the direction perpendicular to the surface.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
