RUNNING-TYPE TOPOGRAPHIC SURVEYING APPARATUS USING GPS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a running-type topographic surveying apparatus by which a precise surveying operation according to the change in a geographical feature can be performed and by which the number of operators can be reduced when the geographical feature of a present state is surveyed in an earthwork operation in the development of a large-scale industrial complex or a residential site. SOLUTION: This topographic surveying apparatus is provided with a global positioning system(GPS) antenna 2 which is installed at, and fixed to a measuring vehicle and which receives radio waves transmitted by a GPS satellite. In addition, it is provided with a GPS receiver 3 and a personal computer 7 which processes a signal received by the GPS antenna 2 so as to calculate the present position of the GPS antenna 2. In order to measure the angle of inclination of the GPS antenna 2 which is tilted due to a geographical feature, a sensor 12 and a controller 11 are installed. On the basis of inclination information on the GPS antenna 2 as a detection result by the sensor 12 and the controller 11, present information on the GPS antenna 2 is corrected.
