PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make power distribution calculations with accuracy after a core condition (operating condition) has been changed by sampling accurate GT (-ray heating) signals or LPRM (neutron detection) signals into a power distribution calculating device. SOLUTION: This system has an in-pile nuclear instrumentation, assembly 32 in which a plurality of fixed LPRM detectors 37 for detecting local power distributions within a reactor 2 and the fixed GT detectors 44 of a GT assembly 35 for detecting -ray heating values are enclosed in a nuclear instrumentation pipe 33 with the GT detectors 44 arranged near the LPRM detectors 37, an LPRM signal processing device 40 for processing LPRM detection signals from the LPRM detectors 37, a GT signal processing device 48 for processing GT signals from the GT assembly 35, and a GT heater control device 53 controlling the current-carrying to a heater built into the GT assembly 35.
