PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scintilation fiber which prevents the generation of crosstalks and is not accompanied by a degradation in detection efficiency. ;SOLUTION: This plastic scintilation fiber comprises a core which contains a first fluorescent agent for converting scintilation light to the longer wavelength side and a second fluorescent agent for converting the release light of the first fluorescent agent further to the longer wavelength side, an inner clad which is smaller in the refractive index than the core and contains a third fluorescent agent for converting the release light of the first fluorescent agent to a long wavelength and an outer clad which is smaller in the refractive index than the inner clad and contains a third fluorescent agent.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
