ENDO-OSSEOUS ROOT-SHAPED DENTAL IMPLANT AND IMPLANT EXTENSION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove easily an extension after curing by providing the extension having a reproduced top face and fastening the extension to the body portion by a concrescence screw in a root-shaped dental implant to be mounted in the opening of the mandible of a patient. ;SOLUTION: An endo-osseous dental implant 10 has a body portion 16 provided with an external thread, at the tip of which a hole 17, a crosswise penetrated hole 18 and a tapping thread 19 are formed, and a neck portion 20 and an abutment portion 21 are formed on the upper end side. In the inside of the implant 10, a shaft 22 with an internal thread is formed, and an internal wrench engagement face 23 is formed at the base end thereof. On this occasion, a packaging stopper 13 is inserted into the wrench engagement face 23, and a face 29 to receive the base 30 of a concrescence screw 15 is formed on an internal shaft 28 formed thereon. By screwing the concrescence screw 15 into a prescribed position, the implant extension 14 is held in a right position of the upper portion of the implant 10.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
