PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an etching inspection method in which the validity of an etching inspection is confirmed by easily detecting a defect part generated in a titanium alloy product and by which the quality of the titanium alloy product is enhanced. SOLUTION: By the etching inspection method for titanium alloy product, the existence of a defect part generated in titanium alloy product is inspected. In the etching inspection method, an excessive temperature rise part A is formed intentionally in a titanium alloy test piece 10 which is composed of the same material as a component 20 to be inspected, a blue etching operation is executed to the test piece 10 and to the component 20 to be inspected, the component 20 to be inspected is compared with the state of the excessive temperature rise part A in the test piece 10, and the existence of an excessive temperature rise part A' generated in the component 20 to be inspected is searched.
