PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retortable container comprising a composition including a specific quantity of a specific ethylene/α-olefin copolymer, difficult to mutually adhere even after being treated at a higher temperature due to adhesion strength equal to or lower than that of a preferred value, excellent in heat resistance, impact resistance and transparency and useful for packaging foods.;SOLUTION: This retortable container having ≤80 g/15 mm adhesion strength and pref. ≤42% quantity ratio of heat of melting and ≥4.5 kg.cm impact strength comprises a polyethylene composition consisting of ≥60 wt.% (pref. 60-99 wt.%) ethylene/α-olefin copolymer produced in the presence of a single site catalyst and having 0.940-0.960 g/cm3 density and 0.1-100 g/10 min melt flow rate measured at 190°C under the condition of 2.16 kg load and pref. 40-1 wt.% high-density polyethylene having 0.940-0.970 g/cm3 density and 0.1-20 g/10 min melt flow rate measured at 190°C under the condition of 2.16 kg load.
