PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing particles having anisotropic shapes, by which a bulk oriented ceramic can be easily synthesized, by means of the particle oriented molding and sintering or the like, and to provide single crystalline particles having anisotropic shapes. ;SOLUTION: Template particles having anisotropic shapes and a crystal structure A and a raw material for the product, which has a crystal structure A' analogous to the crystal structure A and is capable of converting the template particles into a product having an optional composition, are prepared. Anisotropically shaped particles of the product are obtained while utilizing the crystal face of each template particle or the orientation of the crystal axis of each template particle as the template in a solution or a molten liquid.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
