MOIRE REMOVING FILTER AND IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD AND DEVICE USING THE FILTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a stripe pattern due to a grid in the case of reproducing picture data obtained by reading out an image photographed by using a grid having a different pitch. ;SOLUTION: Digital picture data S1 are obtained by reading out a radiation image from a cumulative phosphor sheet on which the radiation image is photographed by using a grid of 3.4 lines/mm. The picture data S1 are filtered by a filtering means 31. The filter coefficients of the filter used for the filtering processing are -1, -1, 4, -3, -14, 0, 43, 68, 43, 0, -14, -3, 4, 1, -1 and a response ≥3.3 cycle/mm spatial frequency is reduced to ≤5%, preferably ≤2%. Since a response of 3.4 cycle/mm or 4.0 cycle/mm corresponding to the stripe pattern of a grid of 3.4 lines/mm or 4.0 lines/mm is reduced in processed picture data S2 obtained by filtering processing through the filter, an image reducing a stripe pattern due to the grid is obtained by reproducing the picture data S2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
