METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATION NETWORK SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a meteorological observation network system where each of a plurality of persons utilizing meteorological information observes meteorological data at his own position and transmits the data to a prescribed center so as to add or change observation points in a short period. SOLUTION: Sensors 1, 2, 3, 4 for meteorological observation and a timer are connected to an information terminal 6 and a plotting program is used to display obtained meteorological data as a function of time. A server 9 is provided with a storage device storing meteorological data, map data and a meteorological observation program for generating an atmospheric pressure and weather chart. The information terminal 6 accesses the server 9 via the Internet 10 to send meteorological data thereto, or receives meteorological data of any of the sensors 1, 2, 3, 4. The data are graphically displayed and the server 9 generates a broad-area atmospheric pressure and weather chart by utilizing the map data by means of the meteorological observation program and the information terminal 6 receives and displays them.
