PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-function rolling mill for rolling equipment for wide flange shapes having good dimensional accuracy by which minimum three rolling mills required for a conventional intermediate and finish rolling are made to two, the cost of equipment is reduced, also the length of the line is shortened and the necessary length of a building is reduced as much as the reduction and a rolling method using the multi-function rolling mill for rolling equipment for the wide flange shapes. ;SOLUTION: This rolling mill is composed of a pair of right and left vertical rolls consisting of rolls 30, 31 for reducing the thicknesses of flanges and a pair of upper and lower horizontal rolls in which roll parts 32-35 for reducing the widths of the flanges are provided movablly in the vertical direction through roll parts 22, 23 for reducing the web thickness and retreating mechanisms 36 at the both ends. At the time of reduction of the flange thickness rolling and the web thickness rolling of a wide flange shape 13 with the vertical rolls and the horizontal rolls, by vertically moving the roll parts 32-35 for reducing the flange widths of the horizontal rolls, the roll parts 22, 23 for reducing the flange widths of the horizontal rolls do not interfere with the vertical rolls.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
