PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a culture medium for the cryopreservation of a hybridoma capable of efficiently producing an antibody without affecting antibody production ability and useful for a diagnostic or the like by adding e.g. an antigen specifically recognized by a hybridoma-produced monoclonal antibody. ;SOLUTION: A culture medium for the cryopreservation of a monoclonal antibody-producing hybridoma is mixed with at least one kind selected from the group consisting of an antigen specifically recognized by the hybridoma- produced monoclonal antibody and a fragment containing an antibody- recognizing region of the antigen. It is preferable that the addition amount of the antigen is 0.5-500 μg/mL and the monoclonal antibody-producing hybridoma is preserved in a frozen state using the culture medium, followed by thawing the hybridoma and by collecting the monoclonal antibody-producing hybridoma to produce a monoclonal antibody.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
