PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject fiber capable of efficiently providing the section having a nucleic acid arbitrarily and accurately arranged in a high density, in good reproducibility, and useful for detection or the like of the kind and the amount of the nucleic acid by allowing a hollow part of the hollow fiber to hold a nucleic acid-immobilized gel. ;SOLUTION: The objective nucleic acid-immobilized gel-holding hollow fiber holding the nucleic acid-immobilized gel in the hollow part of the hollow fiber is obtained by biotinylating a probe aminated by introducing NH2(CH2)6 group to 5' terminus of an oligonucleotide by using biotin amidite, adding the obtained oligonucleotide having the biotin group at the 5' terminus to an aqueous solution containing acrylamide, methylenebisacrylamide, 2,2'-azobis(2-amidinopropane) dihydrochloride and an avidinized agarose, mixing them, injecting the obtained solution to the hollow part of a hollow fiber made of a nylon or the like (having 300 μm outer diameter), and allowing the injected fiber to stand still at 80°C for 4 hr in a hermetically sealed container the interior of which is saturated with steam to carry out a polymerization reaction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
