PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a database connection management method/device which controls the management of connection information by an application program to reduce the load of connection processing to a database and can easily design an application to assure the atomic properties for the entire work and also to provide a storage medium which stores a database connection management program.;SOLUTION: The connection information showing the connection between an application program and a database management system and the management information consisting of a connection state are held and managed with consistency secured between both information. A request is received from the application program, and the connection of the application program to a database or the use, preservation or release of the application program is processed based on the received request.
