PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of the soiling of a facility due to the marking or the like of dogs and cats to facilitate the sanitalization control and to improve the maintenance property to purify by enabling to self purifying the exposed surface of various equipments, to impart artistic property and play property to the exposed surface having purifying function and to continue semipermanently the treatment for making harmless and deodorizing. ;SOLUTION: Photocatalytic sand 2 is used for preventing a phenomenon that the exposed surface of open spaces, parks, grounds such as playground, passages, roads, poles, fences or the like is soiled by the marking of the dogs and cats, the refuse of foods, dirt and the like. As the photocatalytic sand 2, a granular body having photocatalytic function itself or a mixture of the photocatalytic granular body having the photocatalytic function with inorganic sand is applied and the decomposition of organic materials is accelerated by the photocatalytic reaction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
