PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a cooling effect, a lubricating effect and finishing precision in grinding work. ;SOLUTION: Mist of lubricating oil in quantity of 0.1-10 cm3/h per contact width of 1 mm of a grinding wheel G and a work W is supplied from a nozzle 1 provided in the rotating direction of the grinding wheel G and on the upstream of a grinding point, and mist of coolant in quantity of 5.0-50 cm3/min per contact width of 1 mm is supplied to a surface of the work W from a nozzle 2. Additionally, a nozzle 3 is provided on the upstream of the grinding point in the rotating direction of the work W from below, and mist of lubricating oil in quantity of 0.1-10 cm3/h per contact width 1 mm is supplied. Furthermore, an air current to be circulated by rotation of the grinding wheel G is cut off by providing a shield plate 4 at a position to be the upstream of the aforementioned nozzle 1 and adhesion of lubricating oil to the work W is improved.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
