PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feed roll to hardly deform at a contact part with a paper sheet, prevent a change of a feed amount due to a change of temperature, prevent the occurrence of a change with the lapse of time of a friction factor having high wear resistance, prevent adhesion of paper powder, and prevent the occurrence of unevenness in a friction factor between products. ;SOLUTION: A matrix roll having an outer peripheral surface in which a coarse surface is formed by an microuneven surface serving as a matrix is immersed in a metallic salt solution. A skin member 7 for friction with a given thickness is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the matrix roll through electrocasting. The skin member 7 is opened from a slit 8 formed in a longitudinal direction and peeled from the outer peripheral surface of a matrix roll. The peeled skin member 7 is attired on the outer peripheral surface of a cylindrical member 9 forming the core of a paper feed roll.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
