PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal forming method to connect a multicore covered wire and an engaging shaped terminal properly with a brazing material of the inside of the terminal without stripping a covering material and inserting three to many (for example 2000) multicore covered wires into the engaging terminal, and provide a deflection coil for a cathode-ray tube and image display device therewith. ;SOLUTION: The tip of a multicore insulating-covered wire 1 comprises not less than three insulating-covered wires is engaged facing to the bottom of the inside of a U-shaped conductor terminal which has connecting auxiliary material, by being pressed and electrically conducted, the cover of the multicore insulating-covered wire 1 is carbonized and removed, then the multicore insulating-covered wire 1 and U-shaped conductor terminal are connected by melting the connecting auxiliary material.
