PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a converter with a small transmission loss over a broadband and having excellent passing and reflection characteristics.;SOLUTION: The converter is provided with a waveguide 10 having a guide wall 12 to which a slot 40 is formed, with a strip line type conversion section 30 having a dielectric board 31 coupled with a region including the slot 40, and with a coplanar waveguide 20 connected electrically to the conversion section 30. The conversion section 30 is provided with a strip conductor 32 and a couple of ground conductors 33 formed on the dielectric board 31, the strip conductor 32 is extended in excess of a center of the slot 40 in a signal transmission direction and a couple of the ground conductors 33 are broken beneath the slot.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
