PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convert red crude phthalocyanine blue into a state of a green pigment within a short treatment time while reducing the amount of waste water by grinding a dispersion of the crude phthalocyanine blue in an aqueous medium containing a particulate attrition aid and an acetylene-type diol surfactant. SOLUTION: It is desirable that the acetylene diol is a surfactant of the formula (wherein R1 and R2 are each a 1-8C alkyl; and R3 is H or CH3). It is desirable that the surface-active attrition aid composition is made from 0-70 wt.% salt of sulfated alkylphenoxypolyalkoxylate, 0-70 wt.% sulfosuccinamate, and 5-100 wt.% acetylene diol surfactant of the formula. It is desirable that the composition further contains an anionic surfactant selected from among an 8-20C 2-hydroxyalkanesulfonic acid, a sulfuric half-ester of a 6-20C alkylphenol polyalkoxylate, a 6-20C alkylbenzenesulfonic acid, etc.
