PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wall structure excellent in earthquake resistance and workability irrespective of having a wide entrance in a wooden building equipped with the entrance of a wide opening such as a garage or the like in front. ;SOLUTION: A pair of right and left vertical members 1 are erected at an interval with the wide of an entrance and, at the same time, both up and down horizontal members 2 and 3 are connected to the opposite surfaces of the upper ends of the vertical members to fix through joint metal fittings 4 to form a wooden portal frame A having framework structure. Both up and down horizontal reinforcing members 6 and 7 are connected to a pair of right and left vertical members 1 of the wooden portal frame A at right angles backward through the joint metal fittings 4 to form an orthogonal wall B, and lateral force is uniformly transferred to the whole orthogonal wall B from the portal frame A to bear through the joint metal fittings 4 when earthquake or typhoon occurs.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
