PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a twin lever type tensioner device to reduce the number of parts, decrease the number of machining man-hours and the man-hours of Assembly works of a mounting surface, reduce an area of the mounting surface, and reduce the generation of noises during running of a chain. ;SOLUTION: This device is provided with first and second tensioner levers 7 and 14 the base end sides of which are rotatably supported on a mounting surface R by a common pivot axle 15. The tensioner levers have respective shoe surfaces pointing to the same side with respect to the pivot axle 15 and the oscillation end part sides are arranged in a state to point to directions opposite to each other. The whole area of a contact range between the shoe surfaces of the tension levers and a chain is set to a position closer to the oscillation end part side than a perpendicular suspending down from a pivot axle center to the running line of a corresponding chain.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
