PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for resin cross-linking of an isoprene- isobutylene rubber. ;SOLUTION: An alkylphenol-formaldehyde resin in an amount of 5-25 pts.wt. and a hydrazide compound in an amount of 0.1-5 pts.wt. or further an epoxy compound in an amount of 0.3-10 pts.wt. are added to 100 pts.wt. of an isoprene- isobutylene rubber to cross-link the isoprene-isobutylene rubber. The cross-linked rubber having a high hardness is obtained without using a halogen compound in combination and without increasing the amount of carbon black for use according to the method.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
