PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earthquake control hydraulic damper and an earthquake control structure dispensing with wiring for sensors, a control computer and communication outside of a device part by estimating the displacement of device installation layers, inter-layer speed, the generated force of the device, and the like using only the information of the sensors provided at the device part. ;SOLUTION: An earthquake control hydraulic damper installed in a column- beam frame of a building is provided with a cylinder 2, a piston 3, hydraulic chambers 4 on both sides of the piston 3, and a switching control valve 6 provided in a passage 5. The opening of the switching control valve 6 is controlled by a control circuit 7 built in a device, with only the pressure p₁, p₂ measured by pressure gages built in both hydraulic chambers 4, as information.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
