PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly detect a stencil storage state of a stencil base paper in a stencil discharge box and inform an operator of a time for discarding it appropriately.;SOLUTION: Inside a stencil discharge box 2, a compression plate 10 for compressing a stencil base paper P is provided. The compression plate 10 is driven to travel on a rail 12 by a motor 14. A compression pressure detecting means 6 detects a compression pressure at the time of compressing the base paper P. A movement detecting means 7 detects the movement of the base paper P when it is compressed by the compression plate 10. A control means determines the storage volume and the residual volume of the base paper P in the stencil discharge box 2, based on the movement when a specified compression pressure is reached at the time of compressing the base paper P and displays the volumes on a display device.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
