PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for predicting and evaluating defects of an injection- molded article wherein the defects of the molded article are predicted and quality of filling behavior of a molten material into a mold is evaluated based on a result on flow analysis of the molten material. ;SOLUTION: When flow analysis in injection molding of a molten material is performed, in a filling analysis part, a process wherein the molten material is filled in a mold is simulated by using the numerical analysis method based on shape data, physical data, etc., of an injection-molded article, fluctuation behabior of the molten material and pressure fluctuation in an unfilled part in the mold are numerically analyzed and data on the filling behavior obtd. by the numerical analysis are outputted at specified time intervals. Based on the outputted data, gas pressure value and the max. value of the gas pressure of each microelement are calculated in a pressure fluctuation calculating part 22. Based on the gas pressure value and the max. value of the gas pressure calculated, defect generating positions to be generated in the injection-molded article are predicted in a defect predicting part 24 and quality of the filling behavior of the molten material is evaluated in a filling behavior evaluating part 25.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
