PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-order water purifying treatment method in a water distribution basin capable of utilizing an existing water purifying equipment and enabling high-order water purifying treatment and to provide the water distribution basin having high-order water purifying treatment function. ;SOLUTION: An artificial light source 22 and a purified water stirrer 28 are provided in the water distribution basin 20 in an existing water purifying equipment and a membrane separator 24 is provided in the tap water outflow part 20c of the water distribution basin 20 and powdery titanium oxide charged in the tap water within the water distribution basin 20 is dispersed by a stirrer 28 and the amt. of titanium oxide in the water distribution basin 20 is held to a predetermined amt. or more and titanium oxide is irradiated with the light from the artificial light source 22 and the fine org. matter contained in the tap water in the water distribution basin 20 is oxidatively decomposed by photo-oxidation. In this high-order water purifying treatment method in the water distribution basin, a very small amt. of org. matter in tap water is removed by oxidative decomposition and, by backwashing the membrane separator 24, titanium oxide bonded to the separation membrane 24a of the separator 24 is returned to the water distribution basin 20 to hold the amt. of titanium oxide in the water distribution basin is held to a predetermined amt. or more.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
