PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the material amount to be monitored concerning a foreign substance constituent to be transferred under at least equal quality classification result by equipping an apparatus for forming single layer with a belt cascade comprising two accelerating belts provided serially in a transfer direction, in a transfer belt passage. ;SOLUTION: A transfer belt is formed as a belt cascade 4 ahead on an operational upstream side to a transfer direction (the arrow 2 direction) of a tobacco flow 3 of a foreign substance separator 1. This transfer belt comprises two accelerating belts 6, 7 which are provided serially in a transfer direction, and the first accelerating belt 6 is driven at a speed approximate to a floating feed speed of tobacco according to classification and characteristics of a material constituent to be transferred. There is an upper belt 8 pivoting together in synchronism with the second accelerating belt 7. Those upper belts together form a transfer passage 13 which is formed in a tapering mouthpiece 12 by converging or transferring rolls 9, 11 in a transfer direction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
