PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify the position of an abnormality such as a wire break occurring to an electromagnetic actuator which generates an active support force and a load sensor generating a residual vibration signal. ;SOLUTION: In a step 201, the amplitude of the residual vibration signal (e) is retrieved and stored as an amplitude A_e and then it is moved to a step 202 to compare the amplitude A_e with a threshold value e_th1 and judge that no abnormality of an active type engine mount 1 is detected in the case of A_e≥e_th1. When it is judged that A_ee_th1 in the step 202 it is moved to a step 204 to compare the amplitude A_e with a threshold value e_th2 (e_th1) and judge that there is the possibility of wire break abnormality occurring to the load sensor 22 when A_e≥e_th2. Then, it is moved to a step 205 and when it is judged that A_ee_th2, it is judged that the electromagnetic actuator 10 possibly has wire break abnormality, thereby moving to a step 206.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
