PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize constitution, to improve resolution and to realize highly precise detection by installing an antenna housing which has storage spaces opened to a soil and is formed of a conductive material and a pair of conductors and setting each end part to which the conductors come close to be power feeding points. ;SOLUTION: In an antenna housing which have storage spaces 3 and 4 opened to a soil and are formed of a conductive material, the two storage spaces 3 and 4 are partitioned by an intermediate side wall 26. The antenna housing contains a base board, side walls 27 and 28 which are connected to the base board and extend in parallel to conductors 5, 6; 7, 8 and end walls 31 and 32 which are connected to the side wall 26 and are vertical to the axes of the conductors 5, 6; 7, 8. The base board, the side walls 26 and 27 and the end walls 31 and 32 are electrically grounded. In the storage space 8 in a transmission antenna 1a, a pair of conductors 5 and 6 extend by having respective axes on one common line 33. The respective end parts 34 and 35 to which the conductors 5 and 6 come close are connected to a power feeding point 36.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
