PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize beam characteristics by eliminating slippage of each electrode part, when supporting an electron gun composed of plural electrode parts. ;SOLUTION: This electron gun support device 1 is equipped with plural positioning pillows 4 to support a first grid electrode G1-a fifth grid electrodes G5 of an electron gun 2 structured by positioning and combining the first grid electrode G1-the fifth electrode G5, and a leaf spring 5 disposed opposite to the positioning pillow 4 to support the fourth grid electrode G4 and the fifth grid electrode G5 by pressing them onto the pillow 4. In this supporting method, the first grid electrode-the fifth grid electrode of the electron gun are positioned and mounted on a pillow 7 by using this electron gun support device 1, and the fourth grid electrode G4 and the fifth grid electrode G5 are supported by pressing the leaf spring 5 onto the pillow 7, in order to support the electron gun 2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
