PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a picture data conversion method by which a picture is accurately color-managed to compensate color reproducibility and to obtain a picture data configuration method and a recording medium recording a program to convert picture data. SOLUTION: A picture data conversion means 8 receives moving picture data or still picture data from other device the information relating to a spectral response characteristic of which is known.
