PSEUDO-RANDOM NUMBER GENERATOR, STREAM CIPHERING METHOD AND STREAM CIPHER COMMUNICATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pseudo-random number generator in which chaos is suppressed and periodic time series having low autocorrelation and mutual correlation, i.e., many kinds of chaos groups are generated. ;SOLUTION: A chaos generating loop is constituted of a one dimensional mapping circuit 13, which has a nonlinear input output characteristic and generates chaos, a linear or a nonlinear AD converter 15, which converts the analog output of the circuit 13 to digital signals, a sample-and-hold circuit 17, which holds and outputs the digitally converted values of the converter 15 in response to an external clock C, and a linear or a nonlinear DA converter 19, which outputs analog converted values corresponding to the output of the circuit 17 to the circuit 13. Thus, binary groups, that are chaos groups corresponding to the output of the circuit 17, are outputted.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
