PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect natural environment, especially a wild bird, from lead harm by mixing a high specific gravity metal with biodegradable plastic rein for composing a rifle bullet. ;SOLUTION: Tungsten with a higher specific gravity than lead is mixed with biodegradable plastic resin to from such rifle bullet as bullet, shot, or air gun bullet. The biodegradable plastic resin composed by a macromolecule created by a microorganism includes biopolyester. This sort of biopolyester is provided with a biodegradability where it is decomposed by a microorganism in the natural world to become carbon dioxide and water and a thermoplastic property where it is melted approximately at 180°C so that it can be fabricated. Even if this sort of rifle bullet is taken into an organism such as raptors and birds, the biodegradable plastic resin for composing the rifle bullet is decomposed by the microorganism in the organism or by oxygen, an acid, or an alkali as a catalyst, and is finally delivered out of the body, thus preventing the organism of the raptors and birds from being affected.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
