FULL-TEXT RETRIEVAL METHOD, DEVICE THEREFOR AND RECORDING MEDIUM RECORDED WITH FULL-TEXT RETRIEVING PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To preform higher-precision information retrieval by giving higher importance to a word which is distributed entirely over a document without the premise of the structure of the document and giving higher importance to a word which appears many times irrelevantly to the context. ;SOLUTION: A sentence unit generation part 100 inputs documents to be retrieved and divides the respective documents by sentences. Relativity calculation parts 110 and 120 calculate the relativity of all pairs of words in the divided documents. An importance imparting part 130 gives importance according to the relativity as to respective words in the documents and saves them in a database 140. A retrieval condition analysis part 150 extracts words meeting retrieval conditions. A matching degree calculation part 160 obtains the importance of the words meeting the retrieval conditions from the database 140 and calculates the degrees of matching of the documents. A retrieval result determination part 170 determines a retrieval result according to the degrees of matching.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
