WET PROCESS IMAGE PRINTER UPGRADING SUPPORT SYSTEM USING NETWORK AND DATA UPGRADING METHOD FOR CALCULATING ITS DEVELOPER CONCENTRATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the upgrading of data for calculating a developer concentration by retrieving the information on the developer product stored in a data base and downloading the data for calculating the concentration for the desired developer product. SOLUTION: When the concentration calculation data relating to the developer product to be used is judged not to exist in a memory device 224 of a wet process printing machine in a judgment stage, the downloading of the necessary concentration calculation data is received from an upgrading support server and is transmitted to the wet process printing machine. A main controller 221 of the wet process printing machine stores the requested data for calculating the developer concentration in the memory device 224 through an engine controller 222. If the memory device 224 is provided with such data for calculating the developer concentration meeting the developer product to be used, the engine controller 222 is capable of calculating the concentration value of the developer corresponding to the photodetection information outputted from a concentration information forming section 228 by using the developer concentration calculation data corresponding to the mounted developer product.
