PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for generating spatial expression and a storage medium storing spatial expression generation program, with which the position of an object on a three-dimensional(3D) space expressed on a computer can be expressed appropriately, corresponding to the viewpoint of a user. ;SOLUTION: While using the world coordinate of a 3D space, the field of view of a user is defined S1 by using the positions or sizes of respective objects or knowledge of the user, based on the position of the target object in the space as a whole of the field of view of the user, absolute expression candidates expressing an absolute position relation are selected S2, relative expression candidates for expressing relative position relations based on the position of the target object is selected S3 by the relative position relation with a suitable reference object and the absolute and relative expression candidates are outputted S4, while adding priority.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
