CONVERTER FOR RECEIVING CIRCULARLY POLARIZED WAVE AND LINEARLY POLARIZED WAVE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To receive the radio waves of one-way circularly polarized wave and linearly polarized wave transmitted from two satellites on the same orbit through one antenna device. ;SOLUTION: The signals of circularly and linearly polarized waves transmitted from two satellites on the same orbit are received by a horn circuit part 1 and the signals are synthesized while delaying one of these signals at 90° so as to extract the signal of clockwise polarized wave. This signal of clockwise polarized wave is converted to the signal of an intermediate frequency(IF) band by a mixer 14 and sent from an output terminal 19 to a BS tuner, for example. Besides, any one of signals of vertically and horizontally polarized wave received by a first substrate probe 2 and a second substrate probe 3 is selected by a switching signal from a CS tuner and that selected signal is converted to the signal of the IF band and sent from an output terminal 17 to the CS tuner.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
