PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a header structure for a plate fin type heat exchanger for simplifying a mounting operation of a header and a method for mounting the header. ;SOLUTION: The header structure for a plate fin type heat exchanger having header mounting holes 23, 24 provided at both sides of a laminate 27 and headers l, 2 respectively inserted to the holes 23, 24 and fixed by welding comprises a cylinder 31 fixed by welding from one side of the laminate 2 in engagement with the holes 23, 24, a strength guide member 33 engaged from the other side of the laminate 27 with an inner surface of the cylinder 31 via the holes 23, 24, and a cover 32 engaged with the holes 23, 24 and fixed by welding.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
