PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject improving agent capable of improving brightness without increasing the used amount of a luminous fluorescent substance by constituting the agent of a benzotriazole-based compound and/or a benzophenone-based compound. ;SOLUTION: This brightness-improving agent for luminous fluorescent substances is obtained by constituting the agent with (i) a benzotriazole-based compound [e.g. 2-(2'-H-hydroxyl-5'-methylphenyl)-benzotriazole] and/or (ii) a benzophenone-based compound (e.g. 2-hydroxy-4-n-octyloxybenzophenone). The ingredients (i) and (ii) have an action to convert light energy into heat energy by absorbing the light energy, especially that in the UV region and are able to improve exciting force of the luminous material, i.e., brightness. A high brightness luminous fluorescent composition is obtained by bringing the composition to comprise (A) the luminous fluorescent substance, (B) 0.5-20 pts.wt. of the ingredient (i) and/or (ii) based on 100 pts.wt. of the ingredient A and (C) a transparent resin.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
