PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a thick diamond cutter so far manufactured by the brazing technique conventionally, by the simultaneous sintering technique. ;SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method for a diamond cutter provided with a base plate 20 in which a mounting hole is formed at the center thereof, diamond tips attached to an end face of outer periphery of the base plate 20 across an interval at a predetermined interval, and a tip for protecting the base plate at a predetermined position of a face of the base plate 20, green compacts 31, 41 are arranged on the base plate 20 and an end face of outer periphery and one side face or both side faces of the base plate 20 in a sintered mold, and the sintered mold is pressurized and heated to sinter the green compacts 31, 41 and is fixed on the base plate 20 at the same time.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
