PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent terminal voltage ends of a magnetic head from becoming an open state when the characteristic of the magnetic head is measured and even before/after that by providing a normally closed contact becoming an opened state when a connection jig is loaded on a characteristic measuring device.;SOLUTION: Lead conductors connected to terminal electrodes of an MR element are connected to each other by a loop of the normally closed contact of contacting bumps, contact probes, lead wires 110, 111, 115 and a microswitch to become a short circuit state. In such a state, the short circuit state between the terminal electrodes of the MR element is kept by the route of the microswitch while removing a gold ball of a HGA 300 and even after it is removed. Then, when this fixture 100 is loaded on a loading part 201 of a spin stand 200, and after the contact probes are respectively electrically connected to the contacting bumps 202-205, the operation arm of the microswitch is operated, and the normally closed contact is opened.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
