PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a network management server system, which supports only one kind of communication protocol in a network where different kind of communication protocols coexists, to manage a network which uses another communication protocol and to suppress alterations of the network management server system extremely small at this time.;SOLUTION: In this network, two kind of communication protocols IPv4 and IPv6 coexist and the network management server 110 which supports only the IPv4 operates. In this case, the network management proxy server system 130 stores an IPv4 address to which the address management server system 120 is dynamically assigned for a node 103a given an IPv6 address while making it correspond to the IPv6 address, and a network management command which is issued by the network management server system 110 to the node 103a and uses the IPv4 address is temporarily received and transferred after being converted into a network management command using an IPv6 address.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
