PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the linear motor type grinding wheel stand delivering mechanism of a grinder suitable for the drive of a comparatively small grinding wheel stand in which the installation/removal and maintenance of a linear motor are easy and whose manufacturing cost is low. ;SOLUTION: A tunnel shape fixed guide 25 is fixed on a table 2 so as to be installed/removed freely and a grinding wheel stand 5 with a nearly cross shape section is supported thereinside by support members 52, 52' projected to the right/left by a static pressure bearing. The secondary side of a linear motor, namely the magnet 30b of the linear motor is fixed in the longitudinal direction of the upper surface of the grinding wheel stand 5 and the primary side of the linear motor, namely a linear motor coil 30a is fixed to the central inner surface of the tunnel shape fixed guide 25 and the linear motor 30 is constituted as the feed mechanism of the grinding wheel stand. A linear scale 57 is fixed along the magnet 30b of the linear motor on the upper surface oneside of the grinding wheel stand 5 and a scale reading head 27 is provided on the inside surface of the tunnel shape fixed guide 25 so as to face thereto.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
